My passion is to research the emerging (and often misunderstood) higher-education leadership role of Chief Online Education Officer (COEO) in the Unites States. My doctoral research focused on this role. More specifically, I examined aspects related to the authority this role needs to operationalize high levels of online program administration quality. This study was published in the prestigious Online Learning Journal, the same peer-reviewed journal that published the only research preceding mine. In the coming years, I intend to continue with this research agenda, further examining the COEO role.
